Ciao, my name is Marie Taglioni. I am a famous ballerina with the Imperial Ballet. I used to dance with Her Majesty's Theatre and with the Paris Opera Ballet. Oh, how i love to dance en pointe. My father even created the ballet La Sylphide for me to show of my talents. I did a scandalous thing for that time and shortened my skirt in the ballet. It helped show off my beautiful pointe work. My father approved because it helped show of my dancing. People loved my dancing so much that one day, at the height of my career, i sold a pair of my pointe shoes for 200 rubles!
